For the past few years we have followed Focus Education’s Learning Challenge Curriculum for Science, History and Geography and we absolutely love it! It’s super engaging, allows for challenge and most importantly is fun for us to teach!!! Would never look back now!
"I would just like to say how inspired I was today (as was my colleague) by the 'challenge curriculum'. So much so, that I went straight back into school and discussed this with our head, who, after my excited ranting about how amazing I believe taking this approach to the curriculum could be for our school, also feels that this is something we should definitely explore further!"
"I truly believe that you and your team have created an excellent framework which will fire the imagination of teaching teams. Thank you for sharing this. This resource will be an absolute hit with schools nationally - well done!"
"I am delighted to say that OfSTED were most positive about the Learning Challenge Curriculum which was just great for all our staff and children."
"OfSTED said we were a good school because "A rich, broad curriculum provides pupils with stimulating learning opportunities which motivate them as learners". I am so pleased we have taken on the work you started as it has really moved our school on."
"Just to let you know that following our regional prize for "What Makes The Earth Angry?" (part of the Learning Challenge Curriculum), we won the UK National title for the Total Green School Awards. I thought you would be interested to know as all the work stemmed directly from the Learning Challenge Curriculum."
"I just wanted you to know that we felt that was one of the most worthwhile days we have had in moving our thinking about our curriculum forward. Your experience and knowledge is invaluable, as were the resources. All very useful."
"I just wanted to pass onto the very positive impact working with Focus had had on our school. We have worked with your consultant and introduced the Learning Challenge Curriculum this year; it is already showing an impact in terms of levels of pupil engagement, curiosity etc."
"The Learning Challenge Curriculum struck us immediately as the right way to progress! The curriculum uses pre-learning tasks, to ensure that children are directly involved in the planning process – which in its turn allows teachers to gauge exactly where the learning need lies."
"I tried my first learning challenge lesson today, and it was fantastic. We are in a very deprived area, where language is a real issue, however the mixed ability group I was working with managed to devise their own question and the talk that came out of it was amazing. So thank you."
