These low-stake quizzes help teachers assess whether children are at age-related expectations in the units of learning they have covered in history.

The quizzes use a multiple-choice answering system to avoid adding to teacher workload and be supportive of children who have lower literacy attainment.

The aim is for children to take part in the quiz at the end of the unit and then again at the end of the following term.

The questions assess children’s substantive knowledge and disciplinary knowledge.

The quiz design makes it possible for peer marking to support the assessment outcome. Each zip folder below contains both the quizzes and the answers (in powerpoint and pdf for ease of printing)
